#Goals: Drug Takeback Day Will Help Protect Environment, Pets, and Kids

If you’re not familiar with Drug Takeback Day, it’s a movement run by the Department of Justice to collect unused prescription drugs in a safe way, keeping them out of the hands of teenagers who could potentially become “addicted” or use them as a gateway drug. When you toss these drugs in the trash, your pets and small children can get to them, too, which is also a terrifying prospect. What may be most surprising, though, is how disposing of these drugs can be harmful to the environment.
